J M Parker Physiotherapy is run by Chartered physiotherapist Jenny Cliff (nee Parker).
Jenny graduated from St Martins College, Carlisle with a First Class Honors degree in Physiotherapy in 2010. After gaining valuable experience working as a junior physiotherapist in the NHS, Jenny returned home to the Yorkshire Dales in autumn 2011 and established her private human physiotherapy practice prior to undertaking further post graduate study enabling her to practice on animals.
Jenny qualified from Liverpool University with a Master’s degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy in 2014 and continues to undertake further study to update and enhance her knowledge and skills, ultimately ensuring both her two legged and four legged patients receive the highest standard of care.
Originating from a rural background Jenny has been around animals all her life. In fact, Jenny’s lifelong involvement with horses is largely thanks to her grandparents who lived on a farm where horses played a significant part in day to day farming life. Jenny spent many hours gathering the sheep in from the fell on horseback and competed in all disciplines throughout her childhood and early adult life.
As a rider and competitor herself, Jenny has a sound appreciation of the demands the horse and rider place on each other. Jenny is able to combine the knowledge and experience she has acquired over the years with both her human and animal physiotherapy skills to help horse and rider maximise their potential.
